I have been particularly interested in Wellness and Spirituality since experiencing a personal trauma in my early teens. This led to an illness which the medical profession did not know how to deal with, so I had to find my own way.
I found I could not heal without finding a sense of spiritual purpose, which gave me the will to live. I also found that unless I faced the psychological wounding induced by the trauma, I could not heal. Wellness in my body required the healing of heart and soul.
My professional training includes:
HND in counselling
Diploma in psychospiritual psychotherapy
Graduate certificate in psychosynthesis
Diploma in Attunement
Spiritual Companions Diploma
Certificate in Education
Master Health Coach
I have worked as a Psychospiritual Therapist and Trainer for the last twenty years. In 2004 my husband William and I set up the Shekinah School of Psychospiritual Training which we ran from Dorchester.
We were then invited to run the Mangreen Trust, a holistic Centre near Norwich, where I worked for the last 12 years as Spiritual Director. My work there included setting up a Spiritual Companion programme, running workshops, retreats and trainings, one to one counselling and mentoring, and hosting speakers.
I was brought up in Bournemouth and have always held Purbeck close to my heart. We are in the process of returning to Swanage to continue the work we initiated and are in the process of buying Bella Vista, a beautiful home with awe-inspiring sea views. We sought out a property that particularly inspires a sense of peace and wellbeing to complement our work.
